India beat Britain to lift debut Ladies' U-19 T20 World Cup

 


With a decisive seven-wicket victory over Britain on Sunday, a large group of talented and spirited young people from India won the inaugural U-19 World Cup. This gave them the title of Women's ICC Champions.

By overcoming the last challenge in a global competition, the Shafali Verma-led India U-19 team achieved what their seniors couldn't.

India first dismissed Britain for 68 in a considerable amount of time before coming back to complete the meagre task in 14 overs and get the desired prize.

 

After the crucial victory, Trisha said, "It's simply a happy second, it's our most unforgettable world cup.
