Akhtar Hayat replaces Moazzam Ansari as K-P monitor general
The national government appointed BS-21 official Akhtar Hayat as the next auditor general of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa police on Thursday. PESHAWAR/ISLAMABAD:
Hayat is a 21-grade senior police officer working for the Government Examination Organization at the moment, according to a warning from the Foundation Division (FIA).
He recently served as the region's DIG of the Unique Branch as well as a delegate monitor general in Malakand.
Moazzam Jan Ansari, a former K-P IGP, has been asked to update the Foundation Division.
The improvement comes a few days after a self-destruct plane breached high-level security in the Police Lines neighbourhood of the nation's capital, killing almost 100 people, mostly police officers, when he detonated himself inside a packed mosque.
