Truth Check: IK's movement cost from Banigala to office north of five times higher than Panagah's all out use

ISLAMABAD: Panahgahs, or shelter homes, were envisioned as Imran Khan's signature project to demonstrate his compassion for the underprivileged.

But according to the documents, the cost of his travel from his home (Banigala) to the Prime Minister House was more than five times greater than the sum of the funds spent on these shelter dwellings. According to the records, Pakistan Baitul Maal oversaw the establishment of 39 Ehsas Panahgahs around the nation (PBM).

The program's major goal was to provide the homeless with high-quality services by responsibly handling various issues like healthcare, a secure living environment, hygienic food, etc.

39 Ehsaas Panahgahs have operated since the program's beginning. A total of Rs183.015 million have been used up thus far.
