Blinken starts Center East excursion with call for quiet as Israeli-Palestinian viciousness flares











 

As part of a three-day trip to the Middle East, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has landed in Egypt and will try to defuse tensions between Israel and Palestine following recent violence.

The US secretary of state will go to Ramallah on Tuesday to meet with Palestinian Authority President Mahmud Abbas after meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Jerusalem on Monday.
