Pakistan mosque impact: Aircraft utilized police uniform as camouflage, official says
According to authorities, the person who attacked a mosque in the Pakistani city of Peshawar on Monday did so while wearing a police uniform to get access to the location.
According to reports, the self-destruction aircraft entered via the main doors of the fortified area where the mosque is located.
Police chief Moazzam Jah Ansari claimed that they were encircling the "fear organisation" and had CCTV footage showing the man's most recent activities.
He also confirmed that a head discovered at the scene belonged to the attacker.
The incident on Monday, which may have been the bloodiest attack in Pakistan in years, took place at a 50-year-old mosque in the high-security police area known as Police Lines.
About 100 people were slain, the majority of whom were police officers.
